[English] Bitvavo will delist Bitcoin SV (BSV) on April 5th, 2023. Here’s everything you need to know:

  • Withdrawals will be available until April 5th, 15:00 CEST.
  • Trading will be stopped on April 5th, 15:00 CEST.

If you still hold a Bitcoin SV (BSV) balance after the market closes, Bitvavo will facilitate the conversion for you:

  • Your balance will be sold on an external market for an average market price in the days after trading is stopped.
  • On April 12th, 2023, at 15:00 CEST, we will credit the result of this conversion to your Bitvavo account.

Please note:

  • All open orders will be cancelled once trading is stopped.

Why is Bitvavo delisting Bitcoin SV?
When we delist digital assets, certain aspects are taken into account. For example the underlying value of the digital asset, interest within our customer base, and market liquidity. Bitvavo concluded that this is no longer the case for Bitcoin SV (BSV).

  • Jouw saldo wordt verkocht op een externe markt voor een gemiddelde marktprijs, in de dagen nadat de handel is gestopt.
  • Op 12 april, 15:00 CEST zullen we het resultaat van deze conversie bijschrijven op je Bitvavo account.

Enkele details:

  • Alle openstaande orders worden geannuleerd zodra de handel is gestopt.

Waarom stopt Bitvavo de handel in Bitcoin SV?
Wanneer we de handel van een asset stopzetten op ons platform, houden we rekening met verschillende elementen. Denk hierbij aan de onderliggende waarde van de asset, de interesse binnen ons klantenbestand en de liquiditeit van de markt. Bitvavo heeft geconcludeerd dat dit voor Bitcoin SV momenteel onvoldoende is.
