Bitvavo and Brunel Solar team extend sponsorship until 2024

[English] We are proud of our renewed annual sponsorship with TU Delft and therewith the Brunel Solar team. On October 22nd, they will participate in the World Solar Challenge in Australia, a spectacular race on solar energy.

This year, a group of students from TU Delft will dedicate a whole year to using technology and innovation to inspire the world in the field of sustainability. This is fully in line with our philosophy; as a fast-growing and ambitious tech company building the future of finance.

Unveiling Nuna 12
This week, the new solar car was unveiled in Amsterdam with which TU Delft students will compete against thirty other teams. Like every year, a lot of hard work has been put in to make small adjustments to the car. Combined these adjustments should make a significant difference in Australia. For example, both the solar panels and the battery have been modified so they will deliver better results.

Bridgestone World Solar Challenge
Thirty teams from all over the world will fly to Australia in October with one goal: to be the first to cross the finish line with solar energy. This race is run in five days over a distance of 3,000 kilometers from Darwin to Adelaide, with a large desert in between.

[Dutch] Wij zijn trots op onze hernieuwde jaarlijkse sponsoring met de TU Delft en daarmee het Brunel Solar team. Zij doen op 22 oktober mee aan de World Solar Challenge in Australië, een spectaculaire race op zonne-energie.

Dit jaar zet een groep studenten van de TU Delft een jaar lang alles opzij zet om met technologie en innovatie de wereld te inspireren op het gebied van duurzaamheid. Dit sluit volledig aan bij onze filosofie; als snelgroeiend en ambitieus techbedrijf bouwend aan de toekomst van finance.

Onthulling Nuna 12
Deze week werd in Amsterdam de nieuwe zonneauto onthuld waarmee studenten van TU Delft het gaan opnemen tegen dertig andere teams. Zoals ieder jaar, is er hard gewerkt om de auto te voorzien van aanpassingen die het verschil moeten gaan maken in Australië. Zo zijn zowel de zonnepanelen als de accu aangepast zodat deze betere resultaten leveren.

Dertig teams vanuit de wereld vliegen in oktober naar Australië met maar één doel: om met zonne-energie als eerste over de finish te komen. Deze race wordt in five dagen gereden over een afstand van 3.000 kilometer van Darwin naar Adelaide, met daartussen een flinke woestijn.
