Bitvavo will delist Helium (HNT) on March 21st

Bitvavo will delist Helium (HNT) on March 21, 2023. Trading will be stopped on March 21st, at 15:00 CET. HNT is a trading-only asset, deposits and withdrawals are/will remain disabled. Keep in mind that if you own this asset after trading is stopped, it will be automatically converted to EUR.

If you still hold HNT balance after the market closes, Bitvavo will facilitate a conversion:

  • Your balance will be sold on an external market for an average market price in the days after trading will be stopped.
  • On March 23rd 2023 at 15:00 CET, we will credit the result of this conversion to your Bitvavo Account.

Please note:

  • All open orders will be cancelled once trading is stopped.

Why is Bitvavo delisting HNT?
When we delist digital assets, certain aspects are taken into account. For example the underlying value of the digital asset, interest within our customer base, and market liquidity. Bitvavo concluded that this is no longer the case for HNT.

Heb je nog HNT saldo nadat de handel is stopgezet? Dan faciliteert Bitvavo een conversie voor je. Wat betekent dit?

  • Jouw saldo wordt verkocht op een externe markt voor een gemiddelde marktprijs, in de dagen nadat de handel is gestopt.
  • Op 23 maart 2023 om 12:00 CET schrijven we het resultaat van deze conversie bij op je Bitvavo account.

Enkele details:

  • Alle openstaande orders worden geannuleerd zodra de handel is gestopt.

Waarom stopt Bitvavo de handel van HNT?
Wanneer we de handel van een asset stopzetten op ons platform, houden we rekening met verschillende elementen. Denk hierbij aan de onderliggende waarde van de asset, de interesse binnen ons klantenbestand en de liquiditeit van de markt. Bitvavo heeft geconcludeerd dat dit voor HNT momenteel onvoldoende is.
