1.SEC vs BAYC? Here’s What Legal Experts Say It Means for NFTs
An anonymous source tipped Bloomberg that the Securities and Exchange Commission is currently investigating whether NFTs sold by Yuga Labs, the $5 billion company behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club, violated security registration laws. The SEC did not deny the report.

2.Ethereum's weekly supply growth turns deflationary for first time since Merge
Ethereum has become deflationary for the first time since The Merge as its new supply growth fell to -0.12% in the last seven days, according to estimates from ultrasound.money — a direct result of Ethereum’s average gas fees spiking to between 20 and 30 gwei, which has driven down new ETH issuance.

3.Aptos Debuts Its Blockchain, Putting Millions in VC Dollars to the Test
Aptos Labs blockchain launched its mainnet on Monday, becoming the first of the Facebook spin-off networks to premiere and putting to the test its multibillion-dollar valuation.

4.Bitcoin Fails to Produce 1 Block for Over an Hour
It took more than an hour to mine a block of bitcoin (BTC) on Monday, leaving thousands of transactions stuck in an unconfirmed state. According to on-chain data from several block explorers, the interval between the two latest blocks mined by Foundry USA and Luxor was 85 minutes. According to Mempool, over 13,000 transactions were pending before the latest block was mined.

5.Ethereum Launches Testnet to Begin Work on Shanghai Upgrade
Fresh off the success of a flawlessly-implemented merge event last month, Ethereum’s core developers are beginning to turn their attention to the network’s next, highly anticipated upgrade: Shanghai. The Ethereum Foundation on Friday announced the launch of a pre-Shanghai testnet it's calling “Shandong.”

1.SEC vs BAYC? Dit betekent het volgens juridische experts voor NFT's
Een anonieme bron tipte Bloomberg dat de Securities and Exchange Commission momenteel onderzoekt of verkochte NFT's door Yuga Labs, in strijd waren met wetgeving over veiligheidregistratie. Yuga Labs is het bedrijf van $5 miljard achter de Bored Ape Yacht Club. De SEC ontkende het rapport niet.

2.De wekelijkse groei in Ethereum’s aanbod voor het eerst deflatoir sinds Merge
Ethereum is voor het eerst sinds de Merge deflatoir geworden. De nieuwe groei in aanbod is de afgelopen zeven dagen gedaald tot -0,12%, volgens schattingen van ultrasound.money. Het is een direct gevolg van de stijging van Ethereum’s gemiddelde gas fees, naar 20 tot 30 gwei, dit heeft de nieuwe ETH-uitgifte laten dalen.

4.Bitcoin produceert langer dan een uur geen blok
Het duurde maandag meer dan een uur om een blok bitcoin (BTC) te minen. Hierdoor bleven duizenden transacties in een onbevestigde staat steken. Volgens on-chain gegevens van verschillende blokverkenners, was het interval tussen de laatste twee blokken die gemined werden door Foundry USA en Luxor 85 minuten. Volgens Mempool waren er meer dan 13.000 transacties in behandeling voordat het laatste blok werd gemined.

5.Ethereum lanceert testnet om te werken aan Shanghai upgrade
Na de succesvol en feilloos geïmplementeerde merge van vorige maand, richten Ethereum’s developers hun aandacht op de volgende upgrade van het netwerk: Shanghai. De Ethereum Foundation heeft vrijdag de lancering aangekondigd van een pre-Shanghai testnet: 'Shandong'.
