1.Bitcoin, ether fall after go-to crypto bank Silvergate announces liquidation
Crypto prices fell Thursday after Silvergate, a bank that has been at the center of the industry’s growth, made a decision to shut down. The slight move lower began late Wednesday, a few hours after Silvergate Capital announced it will wind down operations and liquidate its crypto-friendly bank.
2.Mt. Gox registration and repayment deadlines pushed back again
The payee deadline for the selection and registration, in regard to Mt. Gox's rehabilitation plan, has been postponed to April 6 after obtaining court approval. An announcement notes that this may be the last such extension.
3.‘Vitalik’ NFT Collection Takes Top Spot on OpenSea
The Gitcoin Presents non-fungible token (NFT) collection is soaring in value after its open edition mint concluded Wednesday, taking the top spot across leading marketplaces. The collection is rapidly rising in interest and value because of the association of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin with the project, though his direct involvement in the NFT drop has not been established.
4.Fed Chair Jerome Powell: Crypto 'Turmoil, Fraud, Run Risk' Is Being Monitored
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell said that the crypto space needs to be monitored closely because it is full of turmoil—but innovation in the world’s biggest economy should not be stifled. He said that the U.S. central bank had been “quite active” in that area, adding that the Fed does not want to stifle innovation.
5.Starbucks Odyssey Releases ‘The Siren Collection,’ Its First Limited-Edition NFT Drop
Starbucks Odyssey, the coffee company’s Web3 loyalty program, released its first limited edition non-fungible tokens (NFT), which it calls “Stamps.” The program, still in invitation-only beta, allows members to complete activities such as quizzes and in-store purchase to earn Stamps, which can be collected or resold on Nifty Gateway.

1.Bitcoin en ether zakken nadat Silvergate (de go-to cryptobank) liquidatie aankondigt
De prijzen van crypto daalden donderdag nadat Silvergate, een bank die centraal stond in de groei van de sector, besloot te sluiten. 4.Fed voorzitter Jerome Powell: crypto 'onrust, fraude, risico lopen' wordt gecontroleerd
Federal Reserve voorzitter Jerome Powell zei dat crypto nauwlettend in de gaten moet worden gehouden omdat het vol onrust zit. Maar innovatie in 's werelds grootste economie mag niet worden onderdrukt. Hij zei dat de centrale bank van de U.S. op dat gebied "behoorlijk actief" is, en voegde eraan toe dat de Fed innovatie niet wil onderdrukken.
5.Starbucks Odyssey brengt 'The Siren Collection' uit, de eerste limited edition NFT drop
Starbucks Odyssey is het Web3-loyaliteitsprogramma van de koffieketen en heeft de eerste limited edition non-fungible tokens (NFT) uitgebracht, genaamd "Stamps". Het programma is nog op uitnodiging en in de bètaversie. Leden kunnen er quizzes of winkelaankopen doen en zo stempels verdienen, die kunnen worden verzameld of doorverkocht worden op Nifty Gateway.
