1.Crypto companies are playing poker with the SEC as agency cracks down on the industry
Cryptocurrency companies are playing a game of poker with the Securities and Exchange Commission, making bold threats to leave the U.S. as the regulator steps up pressure on the industry to toe the line. Major players are hoping that the SEC and Washington takes, what crypto watchers see as bluffs, seriously and soften the hard line that regulators have taken on the industry.

2.GREED token is not a crypto scam, but a lesson on how to get scammed amid meme coin mania
Despite multiple warnings from Voshy, the meme coin's creator, speculators turned over Twitter permissions to get access to the token. In an interview with CoinDesk, Voshy said he wants to teach crypto traders a lesson, one that focuses on internet security – with maybe a dash of morality and sensibility, too. The thing’s called GREED, after all.

3.OpenAI CEO's crypto project Worldcoin eyes $100M in fresh funding: report
Worldcoin, the iris-scanning crypto project helmed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, continues to attract investors despite yet having to leave beta. According to the project’s website, “Worldcoin is building the world’s largest identity and financial network as a public utility, giving ownership to everyone.”

4.Ledger defends crypto wallet recovery tool against hostile reaction from security experts
Some crypto investors reacted with dismay on social media after Ledger introduced a recovery tool for its hardware crypto wallets that's designed to provide a backup if the seed phrase is lost. The feature, called Ledger Recover, allows users that opt-in and subscribe to use it as a backup for their private keys.

5.CBDCs banned in Florida as Governor Ron DeSantis signs new bill
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed a new bill banning central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) in the state. The bill also prohibits the use of CBDCs issued by other governments and calls on other states to use their commercial codes to institute similar prohibitions.

1.Cryptobedrijven spelen poker met de SEC nu het bureau hardhandig optreedt tegen de industrie
Crypto bedrijven spelen poker met de Securities and Exchange Commission, ze dreigen om de VS te verlaten omdat de toezichthouder de druk op de industrie opvoert. De bedrijven hopen dat de SEC en Washington hun dreigementen serieus nemen en de harde aanpak verzachten die regelgevers tegen de industrie hebben ingenomen.

2.GREED token is geen crypto scam, maar een les over oplichting tijdens de Meme Coin Mania
Ondanks meerdere waarschuwingen van Voshy, maker van de meme token, droegen speculanten Twitter-machtigingen over om toegang te krijgen tot de token. In een interview met CoinDesk zei Voshy dat hij cryptohandelaren een les wil leren. Een les die zich richt op internetbeveiliging – met misschien een beetje moraliteit en verstand. Het ding heet tenslotte GREED.

3.CEO van OpenAI aast op $100 miljoen aan financiering voor zijn crypto project Worldcoin: rapport
Iris-scanning crypto project Worldcoin (onder leiding van Sam Altman, CEO van OpenAI) blijft investeerders aantrekken ondanks dat het de bètafase nog moet verlaten. Volgens de website van het project, ‘bouwt Worldcoin 's werelds grootste identiteits- en financiële netwerk als een openbare voorziening, waarbij iedereen eigenaar wordt.’

4.Ledger verdedigt crypto wallet hersteltool tegen vijandige reacties van beveiligingsexperts
Enkele crypto investeerders reageerden ontzet op social media nadat Ledger een hersteltool voor de hardware crypto wallets introduceerde. De hersteltool is ontworpen als back-up als de seed phrase verloren gaat. Gebruikers kunnen zich aanmelden voor Ledger Recover en gebruiken als back-up voor hun privésleutels.

5.CBDC's verboden in Florida omdat gouverneur Ron DeSantis een nieuw wetsvoorstel ondertekent
De gouverneur van Florida, Ron DeSantis, heeft een nieuwe wet ondertekend die digitale valuta van centrale banken (CBDC's) in de staat verbiedt. Het wetsvoorstel verbiedt ook het gebruik van CBDC's die zijn uitgegeven door andere regeringen en roept andere staten op om hun commerciële codes te gebruiken om deze verboden in te stellen.
