Fireblocks and Ledger Enterprise integration: Bitvavo is implementing Fireblocks and Ledger Enterprise to enhance the security of digital assets. Both platforms are dedicated to safeguarding cryptocurrencies and providing organizations with highly secure crypto wallets. They are available for several coins already and we are continuously adding more.
Bitvavo Account Guarantee: If your Bitvavo account is breached and funds are misused despite our security measures, you could be eligible for reimbursement of up to €100,000.
Industry-leading security: We utilize bank-grade vaults, cold wallets, and follow strict security protocols. Learn all about our security measures.
Your role in account security
Enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA): Enhance your account's security by enabling 2FA. This ensures that only you can access your Bitvavo account. Not sure how to add this security layer? Here you can find detailed instructions on enabling it.
Turn on the Crypto Withdrawals Lock: If you are planning to hold and not withdraw crypto assets, you can add another layer of protection by enabling the Crypto Withdrawals Lock. This can prevent unauthorized crypto withdrawals from your account.
Activate the anti-phishing code: To avoid scams and phishing, activate the anti-phishing code in your account settings. Please also remember that Bitvavo never reaches out via WhatsApp, Facebook, or Telegram. We dedicated an extra article to the topic, so you can learn more about how to recognize scams.
You can update your safety measures in your account settings. Your account's safety is a shared responsibility and, by working together, we can create a secure trading environment.

Hoe wij het veilig maken voor jou:
Integratie met Fireblocks en Ledger Enterprise: Bitvavo implementeert Fireblocks en Ledger Enterprise voor een betere bescherming van je assets. Beide platforms staan voor het beveiligen van cryptocurrency's en voorzien organisaties van zeer veilige crypto wallets. Ze zijn al beschikbaar voor enkele tokens en we breiden dit uit naar meer.
Bitvavo Accountgarantie: als je Bitvavo account wordt gehackt en je tegoed ondanks onze beveiligingsmaatregelen wordt misbruikt, kom je mogelijk in aanmerking voor een vergoeding van maximaal € 100.000.
Toonaangevende beveiliging: we maken gebruik van kluizen van bankkwaliteit en cold wallets, en hanteren strikte beveiligingsprotocollen. Kom alles te weten over onze beveiligingsmaatregelen.
Wat je zelf moet doen om je account te beveiligen:
Schakel tweefactorauthenticatie (2FA) in: maak je account veiliger met 2FA. Zo ben jij de enige met toegang tot je Bitvavo account. Weten hoe je deze beveiligingslaag aanzet? Hier staan uitgebreide inschakelinstructies.
Zet het crypto opnameslot aan: als je van plan bent je assets vast te houden in plaats van op te nemen, kun je als extra beschermingslaag het crypto opnameslot inschakelen. Dit kan ongeautoriseerde opnames voorkomen.
Activeer de antiphishingcode: zorg dat je niet in scams en phishing trapt door de antiphishingcode te activeren in je accountinstellingen.
